Hi Marc, Same here, self quarantine hasn't made that much of a change to my lifestyle....Steve.

Hi Marc,

For me quarantine, or "Social Distancing" as Bumbling Boris and his gang of idiots in the UK call it, has meant that I have to stay at home and repair, re-paint, re- decorate, re-tile, re-plaster, re-wire or re-dig all the areas of the house and garden that "her indoors" has spotted that I have been avoiding.   PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone find a vaccine soon!!!!!

The banjo is still in its case.

Keep well everyone around the world.

Follow the advice from our PM Bumbling Boris... "Wash your hands in hot soapy water while singing Happy Birthday twice"...  geeeez we are doomed!

ps Marc...good to see that the  "Special" is getting a workout!

It has been so long since I've played that even the old raggedy, burnt-in stuff is proving difficult to recall. Rocket wants earplugs...

Most of my music stuff is buried still. I had to shift six feet of boxes just to find my "Special".

Is Rocket your lovely dog?

Yup. Pyrenees mix. Rescued 10 yrs ago. Doesn't complain about my playing. Keeps us safe from killer squirrels.

i like your picture , Marc  , Does the Pyrénées  understand French or Spanish ?

I'm sure he has his own patois, known but to him. Gotta be food based, surely! :-)

Isabelle says "Hi" to Rocket.  (She only plays claw hammer)

Cute! I get that look all the time. "Please stop making noise and pay attention to me!"

So, life here has been quite noisy. The garage/workshop is being built as we speak. Lots of hammering, sawing, etc. One of the "features" of this build is that the lot was too small to have the garage much further away from the house than about 5 ft. According to the county, this means that the garage has to be "attached" to the house (anything less than 6ft). So, we have a "breezeway" being built (a narrow, open, roofed attachment from the back porch to the garage). Keeps the rain off if you're walking from the house to the garage.

Of course, where it attaches to the house must require lots of hammer work. We've basically moved to the other side of the house while workers are present. That wall (our living room and kitchen on the inside) is like a giant speaker and it feels like they're hammering on my head sometimes.

Thankfully, we have a nice front porch. Funnily, the plumbers were working yesterday...one of them commented on my playing. "Every time I walk by, I think I'm in a Renaissance Fair!" I was working on "Whistling Rufus"...not sure what he meant by that... ;-)

Nancy says: Crisis? What crisis?!

That porch is indeed nice.  It looks like it has enough room to fit a small ensemble with room left for several other dogs.
