A twilight melody by Emile Grimshaw is a beautiful piece of music. Does anyone know if there is a published version written in tablature please ? Thanks Dave.

I haven't seen one.

I'll see if I have an "unpublished" tab. If not, I can certainly make one...if I have the dots!

Found the dots. "A" part is already keyed in. Interesting exercise in two voices. Not sure I'll finish it tonight. With voices, sometimes the tab is a little harder to massage into clean/readable staff...but at least I don't have to add the position markers or fingering!

Try this out. I had to go with 3 pages, I can't read it comfortably smaller than that. I could shorten it by removing the A1 section and replace it with a repeat and a coda (or something)...but I wanted to keep it linear with the original.

As always, let me know if you find errors, need changes, etc.

Thank you so much - this is perfect.

BTW - when you say "make one" is there software that does this automatically. I'm intrigued .....

Cheers.

Thanks Rob. I hope you're well.

For those who wish to try this piece, I have uploaded the full score (with 2nd Banjo, Piano and Marc's TAB) to the MUSIC LIBRARY.

It is interesting to see the bottom of the  2nd banjo part. I wonder if this is a relative of L. Hussey of the Antarctic Expedition fame?

No, I had to key in every note. Then the software (Musescore) converts it to tab. Because the algorithm cant make fingering decisions, I then have to sort out the fingering to match the suggestions in the original notation. Then, back thru to add all the text commands (dynamics, etc.).

I've been doing this a long time...so it is easier than it sounds (still took 2hrs+). Sometimes harder to format the results to fit the pages! I find it relaxing.

Leonard had a brother William...? Wiki lists 8 siblings.

I'll send you the mp3 file this evening. Not sure I'll add the 2nd banjo part. We'll see!

Could you rekey it using the Henry Dobson Simple Method of "open and shut"?

LOL. Just a smidge complicated for that! Thank Dog for concept evolution...
