Another of my Grimshaw favourites that I've arranged into a more readable score and to which I've made a few slight amendments. Regarding the recent Grimshaw arrangements that I've posted, does anyone know when they were first composed or published?...Steve.

Jollyboy= 1911 (best as I can tell).
The Banshee= November 1926
You and a Canoe= March 1928
As a side note, Jollyboy is one I enjoy playing but I am guilty of playing it fast. I am going to practice it with the metronome and see what that gets me.

Hi Joel, Thanks for the info. The origins of the name Jollyboy is interesting, as well as being a dancing doll, it also goes back to Edwardian and Victorian England when troupes of entertainers used to set up on the beaches of our popular seas side resorts and it was the name given to who we would today call song and dance men and comedians who performed there...Steve.
