after the beautiful James Scott  ' tune our landlord  posted  recently , we stay in Kansas city with Charles L Johnson , the number two of this area ...

I choosed this beautiful " barn dance " to make an arrangement for the banjo ; the tune is not too difficult to play ; and i transposed it in the key of G ; ( original for the piano in C but it should have been play in the 2nd position at least ) ; here we are  in the 1st one  ; the bass is a D ; i hope the guys from the bluegrass  ' will enjoy ; My tempo on this version is 108 and you can slow it more ; it 's not a problem ; this is pleasant to play , even slow : i will post the tab ,: score  and the piano  midi file  to play with the backup ;

What a lovely tune from Chas Johnson. A beautiful and lilting melody that sounds delightful on that Tubaphone.

Thank you Marc ****** from me.

I can't stop smiling.  Wonderful.  To my ear you could play this fast or slow... Now I'm gonna have to find out.

Marc has sent me his arrangement, with TABLATURE for "The Harvest Hop" and I have added this to the MUSIC LIBRARY.

Below is a midi of his piano accompaniment  ...so you can now  "Play along with Marc"

Great performance of a great tune...alas too much good music and not enough hours in the day to play it all. My 'to do' list must be at least a year long...Steve.

Now if I could play it like that I would be thrilled. Going to download the tab. Thanks.
