The same idea but your piece requires a lot more rhythmic agility and sight reading skills than the one I chose. Very well done, Marc! There was one place in the middle where I thought I was hearing two banjos but I could see how you were doing it. Is that a photo of the young composer playing the banjo at the beginning? There seems to be a resemblance. Even with full screen I could not count the strings but it seems that one of the 6 tuners on the headstock has no string attached. So on this instrument, apparently built to be a 7 string banjo, you have the usual 5 strings plus a bass G. Is that correct?
Thanks , Jody __don 't know for the Young banjo player ; the 1st one is the picture of the original sheet music ' cover ; the compositor was a pianist .
If you talk of the Am / Dm , i play a " crosspicking " using both the 2 bass strings
Tha banjo is an old John Alvey Turner 12 ' converted to a 6 strings by éric Stefanelli ( the neck was too narrow for 7 strings ) and i wanted a banjo to play 1st banjo , not for accomp . The bridge is very good , éric ' s made , too
yes ; bass G
Amazing. I assume this is your own arrangement? How do you go about integrating the low G into your arrangements? Anyhow, impressive work. You're well on your way to becoming the French Van Eps.
THX mike ; this waltz is dedicated to my son Rémi & to our Landlord , Ian ; both born on may 20
Happy birthday , banjo players
Happy Birthday Rémi
:-)
