"personally I have found the best string for the job to be a wound 28 from Clifford Essex, it is sharp and snappy in a nice way I guess it depends on what you like to hear but, when I bought my Weaver it came with nylgut strings on it which were ok…"

not enough chatter here for me so, I am going to talk aimlessly as I am wont to do sometimes (often) have lately been pondering the question of which strings to use on my Whyte Laydie just cannot get my hands on enough different sets to experiment so, for now its the CE lights that are doing it for me they sound OK but, I would still like to feel a bit more tension under my fingers, I am quite heavy handed you see !
