No.18 and rising! Another James Scott composition for Classic Banjo!

Steve is still working on arranging ALL of James Scott’s compositions for banjo.

Princess Rag is the 18th that Steve has arranged. Although not Steve’s favourite Scott piece, he says that it MUST be done to be part of the full set !!

I believe that Steve has a sickness …known as:

“Completism”:  ((n.) The desire to possess a complete set of something, such as every book written by an author or every issue of a specific magazine or comic….  Or every piece of banjo music by James Scott  ;-)

Many Classic Banjo players will also be familiar with this illness when it manifests itself  as BAS  (Banjo Acquisition Syndrome).

Thank you Steve

… which composer next? There is a load of good ragtime out there!

Why is the princess wearing a burnt giant marshmallow on her head?

Jody... and you thought that "product placement" was a recent thing?

Even Classic Banjo Ning isn't immune ;-)

She's 1/3 of the S'mores society?

Princess Brand marshmallows!  I had no idea. So the lady herself is incidental. The hat is the main point!

Princess Grace and Beauty herself says " Frog Legs and marshmallows . Mmmm. Good!"

I'm working on Hilarity Rag at present, once finished there'll be another 10 to do. The remaining rags are probably the most difficult ones to fit to banjo so I may have to be a bit 'economical' with Scott's ideas. Having listened to Princess rag a few times, it is growing on me and I'll have to put it on my 'to do' playing list. Too many good tunes and not enough hours in the day is my problem, especially with two active grand children to keep occupied. Still, they're back at school in two weeks time....Steve.
