A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
Hi everyone, I was recently contacted by Robert Parslow, a classical guitarist from Norfolk in England. He is the great great nephew of James Parslow, the banjo maker and he is looking to purchase a Parslow banjo if one comes up for sale.
I directed him to our website and, as with many others, he was totally unaware that classic banjo existed and was suitably impressed with all that he'd seen and heard. He was especially impressed with the video of Rob playing his gut strung Parslow banjo.
I know that they are as rare as rocking horse manure but if anyone locates one for sale, could you let me know and I'll let Bob know. He does want to start playing classic banjo but because of his family connections, only a Parslow will do...Steve.

Hi Rob, I had 3 Parslows, and let Bob have one of mine.
The peghead shape on the one you are playing, would certainly suggest it is a Parslow neck.
Although all mine plus others I have seen had fancy MOP inlays, rather than Pearl Dots ?
