Wow! Very cool performance...quite a bit faster than I expected. Thanks Ian!
Brilliant, exciting and pleasant ensemble playing. When was the LBC disbanded? Are there any more recordings?
Massed banjos make a great sound IMO. I wonder why the high speed? Correct me if I'm wrong, Ian (living in Lancashire makes you an automatic expert!) but wouldn't a real live Lancashire clogger break his/her ankles trying to dance at this speed?
Just to prove that all the loonies aren't locked up:
Lancashire Coconut Dancers, and people think banjo playing and handbell ringing are daft !
Gaaa. The nightmares may start again...
Well...at least they have live music.
Just before 3:46, just after the whistle, at least the pair in the lower right hand corner and maybe others, collide their bottoms! Is this deliberate?

I think that the only one of these fine banjoists who is still with us is Alan Middleton - sat right in front, to the right of the cameraman, Sally Murrell is to his right, Freddy Musselbrook is playing the Contra Bass, my eyes aren't good enough to pick out the rest, but Pat Doyle will be able to identify them. A very spirited performance and although I am not a fan of the 'Lancashire Clogs' tune, it comes across quite well, at this speed.
To the left, front row is Leonard Hussey of Shackleton Fame.
I think that John Murrell is sat right in front of the Contra Bass, highly Brilliantined hair.
