A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
When I told my new classic style banjo student, Gloria, about the recent video contributions from all you great players, she came running back to watch them and say hello.
She is only just beginning so she says that she would like as much support as we can give her.
Please say hello and tell her what banjo solos you are currently working on!

Hi, Gloria!
Welcome back to Classic Banjo Boing... I mean Ning! I hear you've got quite a rack, err, knack for playing classic banjo -- never in recent mammary had I heard someone play Ad Astra with such busto... I mean, gusto!
Hi Gloria, I believe you are looking for support.... just Google Bras and you will find a whole host of firms who give " support ". I'm not working on any solos at the moment. Mike introduced tremoloing the other day and I'm practicing that. When are we going to hear a solo from you ? I reckon it should be quite good, you seem to have a pretty good rhythm going there. BTW nice to have another female around here : )
I like her. She seems smart.
Well, I seem to be pissing into the wind a lot these days, but here we go again...
Must we have this sexist crap on this site? Another example of our leader's humour, I suppose. How much more do we have to put up with? I'm not offended by it, I just find it stupid and inappropriate.
I dunno Rob, it might be that Gloria responsible for getting people to contribute more actively to the site. It was getting moribund around here. Ian introduced Gloria and now look. Most of the contributions are about banjo, not about body parts. I'd say that Gloria is an example of "our leader's" resourcefulness and foresight.
I have to agree with Rob. I fear this does little for the "image" of the banjo-player, classical or otherwise. It would be a shame to spoil an excellent site. I haven't posted on here for a long time - mainly because my progress with the classical banjo has been painfully slow* - but I often check in and see what's happening. I hope to get back into banjo next year.
[* Almost literally painful since I found my left arm aching after playing for a while. I am still experimenting with different playing positions.]

Guys , it ' s a secret but our leader send me the complete picture on my e_mail ; she ' s running to see Rob , who is backstairs , playing in the tube with big success ; he ' s making money to buy the new Stefanelli ' Gt_Bj ;
If you can pop her on the Leeds train on alternate Wednesdays, change at Shipley for Baildon I 'll get her picked up from the station. I'll send you the full set of dates and the solos we're working.
All the Best,
David
Gloria says that she bursting to come over and play with you. She particularly likes nice bouncy tunes if you have any.
Please post a copies of what you are up to, maybe we may have a few "banjoists in hiding" from your area who would like to try out the scores and then maybe come along! I am sure that the music would be of interest to us all.
