A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
I've been slowly chipping away the Cammeyer file box. I'm guessing I am about half way, but expect to begin to encounter duplicates for much of this next half. I am 100% certain that this is not all of the Cammeyer music I have, yet to be discovered in the unsorted boxes.
It looks like a chunk of this music came from Robert J. R. White, including a few manuscripts that White copied off. This gives me hope that I might have more of his manuscript in the vast unsorted boxes that I put it all in during my rough first sort through.
Here is what I have scanned so far. I'll continue to add titles as I get a chance.

This is monumental. You even scanned the entire Adventuresome Banjo book. It's not nearly as good as Camm's musical works but is part of the historical record. You deserve a medal.
And it's not just quantity. There is quality as well. These scans for the most part look better than the copies of copies of copies that I have of some Cammeryer banjo solos.
I think your efforts will be appreciated by hundreds if I'm optimistic, certainly by dozens. Maybe someday hundreds of thousands will put all this to use. For the present, this one person thanks you.
Thanks Jody, for all the sheet music I try to adjust the scanner so that they are "print ready". Scanning in color with the yellowing or brown paper does not add to the usefulness of the music and makes for poor prints. I can usually remove most of the background yellowing. Some music is very dark, the paper turning the color of coffee.
That said, Cammeyer, at least for his sheet music, used VERY high quality paper. A lot of my music looks like it was printed yesterday. The paper is heavy, smooth and hard. His paper was also pretty consistent in size (which is unusual as I have run into pieces from the same publisher of the same series that are different by up to a 1/2", magazines are the worst as they can bounce all over in size, I have found Keynotes to be an offender of this).
Most of Cammeyer's work has been available, but I am happy to be able to add the title sheets. PDFs tend to not degrade over time as much as other file types either.
This is fantastic! And excellent quality. Thank you for doing it.
