I started to listen to this and will likely enjoy the rest of it.
The compositions are good and I would happily buy a well edited notation only folio of this music.
I have to admit that the zing or ziz noise produced just before the picks contact the wire strings is extremely distracting and off putting. Find this to be a strong defect of playing with picks on wire and it is something that vanishes with fingers on nylon.
I'm surprised that I'm also put off by the noisy bluegrass-style banjo (having BTDT). I think it is the juxtaposition between it and the smoother attack of the Cello Banjo that creates the issue in my ears. Some pick players just have a noisy attack.
The guy is obviously a fine player, and I like his sense of composition.
