That's a new one on me! Very good too.
Thank you Brett.
While I am not big on schottisches, this one has one of my favorite title sheets.

I enjoyed looking thru both. The Turner's version is for two banjos, of course. The 'unknown' (Grimshaw?) version is solo and different enough to cause me some issues (I've been keying both into Musescore).
The Turner version is better notated, clearer position markings, etc. The 'unk' version is just a bit less filled out. I've simplified my versions to make them closer to the Turner edition. If I were to play this one solo, I'd probably use the 2nd banjo's intro (three measures) from the Turner...and other various bits.
Listening to the recording, I find the harmonics sound (to my cloth ears) different than what is notated. To me, the first two "B" do not sound an octave apart on the recording, they sound as if they were repeated notes (5th fret, 2nd string) instead of 12th fret then 5th fret, 2nd string. Both sound fine when played on the banjo but I find the two 5th fret notes are easier to perform (less flailing about).
I'm wiling to bet that the one in the music library was pulled from one of the Turner's Album things. I find that many of the pieces in those albums are abridged in some way when compared to the full sheet music.
It sounds to me, very much like Vineleaf Jig, number 44 in Turner's 60 Breakdowns, Jigs & Hornpipes.
Yah, this isn't abridged, just a few measures changed. Probably just enough to get away with calling it "a new arrangement" rather than a copy.
