So, inspired be Aaron Jonah Lewis project "Mozart on the Banjo", where he plays music by Joe Morley (a great album, by the way. Get it while you can!) and because 2020 is a "Beethoven year".
Who would be the Beethoven of banjo music? :-)

The banjo is unique with a unique writing style. It is apples to oranges.
That is not to take away from Aaron's record as I agree it is great! I love his playing on Mauna Loa. You can hear the Hawaiian Guitar in it.

You are right but it's more fun to make mismatches. Eno can be the Galileo of the banjo. Grimshaw can be the Soupy Sales of the banjo. Cammeyer can be the Howdy Doody of the banjo. .........
