The Ghost Walk (1922)..George Linus Cobb..(Something for Halloween).

This tune sits nicely in the same box as the Skeleton dance albeit slightly more of a challenge to play. It's in 6/8 time and GLC has used lots of 'spooky' chords and chord changes which adds to the atmosphere of the whole piece. It was originally written in Bb/Gm for piano and it was tricky to adapt for banjo but I'm pleased with the final result, I've set it in G/Em. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.

Interesting tune, Steve.  On a loosely Halloween theme, have you heard of a tune by Ed Kuhn called 'Some Pumpkins'?  It is very catchy - would it translate well to the banjo?  I'm currently working on your arrangement of The Thriller Rag - it works really well on the banjo.

Hi Carrie, I've located a score for Some Pumpkins and it's on my to do list. I've arranged all of Aufderheides's published tunes and all of them are worth a try and I agree that The Thriller is particularly suited to banjo...Steve.

Thanks Steve - yes, she composed some crackers. Dusty Rag is another great tune.

I look forward to seeing how 'Some Pumpkins' translates to banjo.  Keep up the good work :)
