My starting point would be to digitally transpose the piano score from G to F, as that is the key Ossman plays in. Having the score in the matching key makes record transcription easier, as Ossman's arrangements of popular music are usually very close to the melody line of the piano score.
Hi Shawn, thanks for that, I have a midi transcription of the piano score so my software will do the key change. I have a couple of tunes in the later stages of competition (just the finger positions to do) so I'll file them away til later and have a look at Florida Rag next unless you're ready to have a go yourself...Steve.
