Spoil sport! I was quite looking forward to having the lovely Nellie play with my G string!
Remember we're all banjo players and therefore not used to being contacted by ladies. I'm sure the lovely Nelly has redeeming features to compensate for her lack of English. As a banjo player I have a capo to compensate for my lack of talent.
Hey Watty, you must be doing something wrong. As soon as any of we Classic Style playing guys pick up a banjo we immediately turn into woman magnets... isn't that right Sylvia??
Hi Ian, you must be right. My husband played Banjo. However I don't see many women flocking to this site, even those women who play banjo. It is actually quite sad being the only woman who airs her voice now and again. :( How would you lot like to be the only man in a group of women.... on second thoughts don't answer that :)
That's because the women are all flocking to the male banjo *players*.
Now Jody , you could be right there. Still wish they would chip in with a comment on here sometimes,or even post a video of themselves playing the banjo.
And Ian, guess I'll have to get around to posting something sometime. Do have a couple of easy pieces but I want my teacher to check them over first.

Go for it Sylvia. We would all like to see another video from you. Don't worry about any mistakes...just watch my videos!
For those who missed "Hot fingers" Sylvia's first video, here it is again.
It got lost on the site as it was not shown on her profile page, so I have posted a link here:
Yes, Sylvia, don't worry about the mistakes -- Ollie Oakley got paid to make mistakes! ;-)
Oh crumbs Ian, hope I've improved since then. On one of them the sound was dreadful, mind you I had thoughts on that after a while. I used the recorder in my lap top and have a feeling that the cooler fan must have kicked in and messed up the sound. I've been playing around with a couple of the very easy ones from the Ellis tutor book,( and others, not from Ellis ) they have 2nd easy banjo parts. I bought a recorder to record the 2nd part, and then play along with it. However , stupid me can't figure out how to use it,my son- in -law might help when I next see him ( or even my 9 year old grandson) or of course I could dig out my old tape recorder. Anyway we shall see.
