A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
This was quite cheap, far less expensive than buying a new one or even my time to make one. And really just wanted the box for my work office (I like to have neat “oddities” in my office as it make the slog a bit more pleasant).
In the US, it seems that social class is not based on geography and is for sale. If you have the money, you can buy into the circle. Me… I’m “working class” as we’re most of the great US banjoists (not calling myself “great”, BTW, but I do identify as “banjoist”).
Here in the South, they're commonly called "Limberjacks". I think I've seen at least one or two at every Fiddler's Convention or Bluegrass/OT Festival I've ever been to. Generally hand-made, with a thin, flexible board to tap and make him dance.
Hey Richard, how is “Emile” pronounced? Is it E-mile (hard e at first)., Emill (silent e), Emily, or ???
My response:
M EEL
Ian
EM EEL although I could be wrong.
