that resonator looks huge to me ! I have two resonator banjos and, they have not been out of their cases in about a year so, maybe I have just become unaccustomed to them.

Yah, I had my Stelling out a while back and thought..."dang, this resonator is huge!"

I remember getting my first open-back and thinking it was too light and too thin (compared to my BG banjos). All about what you get accustomed to. However, as I have become thicker (ahem), I find resonated banjos to put an uncomfortable strain on my wrist to get into playing position. A few years ago when I lost weight, the comfort came back...but it also made the open-backs even more comfy...

IMHO nothing looks sweeter than a well proportioned Vega 5 string sans reso ! and, when I am photographed playing mine wow ! what a sexy pair we make but, then I am unusually good looking !!!

Actually, everybody should get their own banjo and start playing. That should keep other people on a distance! :-)
