Dixie Dimples(1918) 'A Novelty Rag Fox Trot' by James Scott

Continuing my James Scott theme, this another catchy tune which strays from the usual ragtime formula. It has to be played with swing and bounce. There are several recordings on you tube and they're worth a listen to get the feel for the tune. I'm gradually working my way through Scott's music and I've a couple more sitting on the desk top when time permits. This would sound good with a banjo second if anyone wants to have a try. Thank you Steve. That is another great ragtime piece from James Scott and you!

I have added a piano version here so we can hear what a great tune it is, and probably never played on banjo either!

Thanks Marc..it is a great piece and and different from the usual Scott repertoire. Having heard the piano version added by Ian, I may make a few amendments some time...Steve
