This is a good, early example of ragtime written by a French composer. I couldn't find a bio on Cairanne but there is a lot of his music mentioned on the web suggesting that he was a prolific composer. It's a great tune that's well suited for the banjo and it's one of my current favourites.  I've mixed and matched the  RH and LH as shown on the piano score  and raised some of the passages by an octave.
