A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
Sorry, I don't have a recording of Banjo Antics, Frank. But I *do* have a carpet of the same color as the one beneath your Paragon! I'll try to include it in the next video. I've just learned Grimshaw's "Life In Louisiana" and am nearly ready to give it a go with the camera running. Also, that is a nice looking JE Dallas banjo. Do you have photos of the whole thing, front and back? I've replied by starting a new discussion to make this easier to find for all forum members.

Thank you Frank,
That is a beautiful instrument. For some reason I have always liked the top tension banjos!
You must be very strong though as a TT Paragon weighs just short of a ton ;-)
I would like to see the neck colour and the resonator if you get chance please.
Why not tell us a little about yourself and your playing? You have obviously been around a while and must know a lot about the style.
Ian
Goodness me! The side of the resonator looks original but has the back been enhanced.. what amazing parquetry!
I think that the side view of the Top tension is what I like about the instrument... CE engineering at its best!
You are very lucky to own this instrument. I hope that you will play it for us soemtime.
ps. If you wish to post a photograph in a discussion post, take your photo, set the width size to 600 pixels in some graphics software and then click the image icon at the top of the text box on the page:
Then chose the picture to insert from your computer and... Bob's your Uncle!
