Can anyone let me know what years theses banjos were made? I have a non-zither open back model and I'm trying to guess its approximate age...Steve.

Many thanks Marc..I'd forgotten that you'd already posted that receipt some time ago. How well does your banjo sound? I had to try different strings and types of bridge until my banjo sounded OK. I found that medium Aquilla Nylgut with a Clifford Essex heavy gauge 4th string gave the best results. I make my own bridges and had to try different shapes and thicknesses until I arrived at the best design. If you'd like to try one of my bridges, let me know.
Thanks Steve ; yes , i would like to try one ; are these all mapple ?
i do not use aquilla because i found they " tarnish " quickly ; but i guess you are right , the bridge is the 3rd thing the most important
1 / the guy 2 / the banjo 3 / the bridge
Then i use regular Remo white head or renaissance or best , natural .. Never fiberskin for CB
I will record next vidéo on a Windsor ; i have 2 , the one on the picture & another one all walnut & all original ( case , re"so , bridge included ) i had strangely from ebay_ US years ago ; & from the same period _ i don 't like the 1930 ' models with the art_déco ' headstocks ;
Yes they're all maple, let me know the height and send me your address via private message and I'll make one and post it to you.
