A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
Apart from my obvious spelling error on this score (which would cause me too much hassle to correct), this is a very well written tune and the second one by Keithley that I've arranged so far. Fluffy Ruffles can be found in the library. On pages 4 to 6 is a simplified version which is less challenging to play. Stylistically, it's not a tune that would necessarily be associated with classic banjo but I think it works well...Steve.

I agree that it works well as banjo music. The second part is similar to the second part of Ted Goggin's "The Tantalizer", the first ragtime classic banjo solo I learned to play. What is a wise ga-za-bo? And how does it or he or she differ from its opposite? What would that be ? A foolish ga-za-bo? Why is this odd word hyphenated?
Hi Jody, I copied the spelling as it appears on the original piano score. Gazabo is I believe a slang term for man, in the UK we often use the similar word geezer....Steve.

The Irish have a reel called "The Wise Maid". These two make an odd couple.
Geezer is also American slang and usually modified as "old geezer" but either way it is a slightly derogatory term for an elderly male.
