I have my eyes on a specific banjo called a gold tone white lady without a scoop that I think would make a good banjo for me, does anyone have any opinions on gold tone's White ladies?

I had a Gold Tone White Lady long neck for a while, so not for classic playing but I was really impressed with it.

My opinion is that you should look for instruments that are better or equal to what you already have.  That pretty much rules out anything Chinese except for an Eastman WL and those are only on the second hand market and are kinda small.

A white lady would be quite the upgrade from my Goodtime.

But a Chinese banjo configured for wire is a downgrade compared to your Regal.

I want an open back with a tone ring basically
