So I finally got a copy of this, it was part of a recent collection that was added to the ABF library.

I had previously bought the New CE's Middleton folio but found it nearly unusable due to the notation over tab format in addition to the absence of repeats (way too many page turns).

Two of these 4 solos were published in the BMG with first banjo only, but this folio of four solos was published in a very clear format with first and second banjo parts.

Why am I posting this? This was published in 1950 and Alan is still with us, therefore all copyrights are still in place.  These are great pieces that should be played and enjoyed.

So, is anyone able to reach out to Alan and ask for his permission to post these wonderful solos here for people to enjoy?

Hi Joel, I contacted Alan about your proposal and he was very pleased that he is remembered and that anyone is still interested in playing his compositions. Unfortunately, the Clifford Essex Co. now owns the copyright to Alan's 'Solos for a quieter mood' and Clem Vickery Jnr. intends to publish them again, once he gets the company going, so it won't be possible to scan them and put them on this site.

Thank you for reaching out Richard, this is completely understandable.

My only follow up would to be to urge the new CE to re-edit the edition separating the tab and notation.  The originals also include second banjo parts which are nice,
