As Halloween fast approaches, I thought that this suitably named tune would fit the bill. It was written at the end of the ragtime era and at the beginning of the Jazz age. It's a bit different from some of my other arrangements but a good tune none the less. I've combined the piano LH and RH to arrive at an approximation of the piano score that would fit the banjo.

Well done steve ! That's exctly like Darktown strutter's ball tune and other from the epoque. The passage around 1915/1920 (or even earlier 1913) is very interesting. They played more fast "but with less notes". Of course improvisation and so on, but it's not "all". + it's clear that even first jazz standard were basd on ragtime chords progressions but played "more slowly or fast" but always with a double number of first beat (like all of me is basically a rag prog but played slowly (1 or 2 bars for "one chord"!), etc, i m thinking about it but know nothing, i just try to understand.

I take the opportunity of this answer for sharing what i've recorded today, but again : if Steve is ok, thank u if ok. A few hestitations/mistakes, that's disapointing after relistening for me, but anyway i share, it s not the end of the world.
