Great performance with lots of feeling!
"Regal" cinematography, er , I mean iPhone-ography by Leslie.
I like the sound of the gut strings...when I win the lottery I'll definitely buy some...great rendition of a great tune..all the best Steve.
Thanks, Steve. Yes the strings are dear but I already had a set in the drawer. When these finally wear out I'll put on nylon or nylgut. I have a friend in Tennessee who has a Regal that he strings with medium gauge steel and it sounds great. I like "soft" strings on this banjo better though.
Thank you, Carrie. Have you had any luck finding a banjo for classic playing?
Fortunatly , you don 't play the pedal harp , Steve ; because , if the weather is capricious , you need to win the lotery every week to change the strings ' set ..
You've got such a great groove to your playing, Jody!
Hi Jodie, I live near Clifford Essex H.Q so I have asked if I can try out their new 'Sharpe' banjo. Apparently, they will have some ready in 4-6 weeks. It sounds like it will be a good little banjo for learning Classic-style on and won't break the bank. Watch this space....
Carrie, the CE website gives details about 2 models, the Gambler and The Weaver (in which the required deposit is mistakenly given as the full price) but there is no mention of a model called the Sharpe. Can you tell us what the Sharpe is please?
