Since it is unlikely that any members of this group will know who Dan Sinclair is, let me explain. Dan is a very successful artist in NYC, a sculptor and master stone carver. He is also a fine musician, on banjo and on guitar. Unfortunately for us, he no longer plays banjo, having focused his interest on the guitar for the last dozen years or so. We played together for our own amusement in the early '80s, and this performance (we also played Maple Leaf Rag) at the Ragtime Festival was our only public appearance. We also made some private recordings (which I have come to call "The Sinclair-Winans Tapes") that I will gradually be putting online.
