"I like it. It's a good subject, I find. In the video, the a bit longer text pass by a bit to quick. At least for me. That then lead to me feeling a bit stressed everytime a text showed up, thinking I wouldn't finish reading it before it…"

"I use vegetable tan leather washers.  I cut them myself with some punches."

"While I've found many with leather washers, I don't have any suitable leather...so I use paper. Certainly a good thin, hard leather is usable. Too soft (like suede or something) might not do well."

"Thanks Marc. I'm waiting for new gut strings and will do a thorough cleaning when I change strings. Did you ever try leather instead of paper as washers? I have lots of scrap leather laying around."

"I have had good luck with metal friction tuners just by disassembling and cleaning them up. Some of these have friction washers that protect the wood from friction, some do not. They weren't meant to last 100yrs, so a new washer can make a big…"

"It is possible that the problem is not with the peg but with the hole. I would think the wood of the hole would wear away quicker than the shaft of the tuning peg which I presume is metal. If the hole has gotten too big,  a different peg…"
