"Hi Steve, Do you have an arrangement of Solace (A Mexican Serenade)?. I just love that tune of Joplin and I would like to try it. Many people know the last section due The Sting, but the other sections are also great"

"Agreed with Joel, Spanish Fandango is really catchy and also a good exercise. I would suggest some tunes of the Agnew´s tutorial (for instance, Reckless Rufus, Electric Dance...) and the Bradbury´s book is also great!"

120th Anniversary of S.S. Stewart´s death

Hi all!,Long time of my presence here. I have a small project for this 2018: I would like to give a small homage to S.S Stewart, considering this year is the 120th anniversary of his death. Therefore, I am planing to record some tunes of his creation, in the way of a recital (virtual recital, actually). But, in the process I figured out an idea you might be interested...Why not a orchestral (a virtual one) recording of these tunes?, just as the meetings of the ABF or another banjo rallies. Searching for a mazurka

Hi all!

Long time but believe me, I have been practicing a lot, so in the future I promise new videos. I have been working on new tunes and I also would like to learn a tune I watched on the Rob´s Youtube page...¿Someone might have the score of "Mazurka" (wihtout more names)? I was not able to find one in the music library. Also, I am open for suggestions for mazurkas.

Thanks for the help and as usual, all of you have posted amazing videos! Sometime I…

A new tune?

Hi all,

In my last video I said that I am focusing in exercises to improve my left hand technique. However, I would no like to dismiss the fun (and the importance) of learn new tunes. Because I am working on the fingering of the frets in the middle part of the neck, I would like to know about easy tunes which use those frets. Any suggestion? :

The girls in the band

Some days ago I watched on youtube the trailer of a documentary called "The girls in the band" (http://www.thegirlsintheband.com/home/). It is about the experiences of several female musicians in the major jazz period (30-60´s). Of course, they suffered a lot of discrimination despite their talent and skills.

Therefore I would like to know if you have an idea of similar situations in the golden era of banjo. Because the time…

A piece of history

Hi all,

Searching about the banjo phenomena in the 1900´s, I could corroborate that it happened in Colombia too. I share you a dissertation about music of the early XX here in Colombia (The author, is Colombian too). Despite it is in Spanish, you can find some pictures with Colombian banjo players!...I will let you know if I can find those banjos!.…
