I admire everyone who speaks more than one language.
Reminds me of a joke...What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Tri-lingual. What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bi-lingual. What do you call someone who speaks one language? An american.
And in true American fashion, I had to look up "Lights blue touchpaper and retires". LOL
In my neck of the woods, we would say: "Lights fuse and runs..." Our 'party' fireworks have a generic warning to that effect, "Place on ground, light fuse and get away." I found it amusing that there is actually a Brit internet acronym for yours..."LBTAR"
When you get to idiomatic language...it is indeed seperation by a common tongue!
