Marc S, don’t weaken, no matter that the current Miz Smith has promised to throw you out on your ear if you spend all the money!

You have a choice of two must haves, so make it clear to her that she can be replaced and also you must decide which purchase will instantly turn you into a woman magnet, just in case.

1) A swanky new Morgan open top sports car, in British Racing Green.

2) An S. S. Stewart Bass banjo.

To my mind it’s a no-brainer… the S.S. Stewart it is then?

Miz Diane is no stranger to fending off wanna-be girlfriends. She tossed the last one out on her ear 26yrs ago, come October. =8^0

The Stewart will be expensive...but you would need about 20 of 'em to buy a new Moggy here. And no A/C on the Moggy; essential here in the blisteringly sunny South.

Obviously our scheme worked! The thought of "Marc the Woman Magnet" driving about in his brand new Morgan sports car was just too much for Miz Diane to bear, so she settled for the SS Bass instead.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?

Yes, I do! It should be here Monday or Tuesday...and I'm damned excited. I received an email from Eli Kaufman and he warned that finding strings which are long enough is probably the biggest problem...needs 39-40" strings for the 2nd and 3rd. I need to contact Mimmo @ Aquila and see if he has guts that would suit. Eli says he has bought CB strings from Bernunzio in the past.

BTW, I must extend a good bit of credit towards Miz Diane. She prompted me to add more $$ to my initial SWAG for a bid. She was convinced that it would go higher than I imagined...and it did!
