This is a good example of a classic ragtime tune. There is another tune,Dixie Jingles, by Reeg in the library and both these tunes are worth a look and listen. Herbert Ingram also wrote a Piccalilli Rag but so far I've been unable to locate a score. If anyone has a copy let me know. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.

It makes you wonder who wrote this piece of Ragtime and who plagiarised it.

Was it George A Reeg in 1912 or was it Herbert Ingram, or was it Raymond Birch or Chas L Johnson in 1916???

Hi ian, Being formulaic, you get this with a lot of ragtime music so I suppose this is bound to happen. I have managed to track down down a score for the one by Herbert Ingram and does differ from Reeg's in most parts. I'll work on this one next...Steve.
