This reckoned to be the earliest published piece of blues music. It starts in the usual blues format until the third section where there is a nice change of tempo and it morphs into ragtime finally ending once more as a blues. It's an interesting composition and well worth a look and listen. The score and midi are in the library....Steve.

Steve, I couldn't understand your arrangement (looking at score and listening to midi) until I listened to a piano version with a steady left hand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdK75ZPTrS0.  After that I understood it well.

I think your arrangement would come into focus with the addition of a second banjo part that is mostly or entirely oompah.

Hi Jody, I think you're right on that, I couldn't find a piano score for this so I had to work from the midi transcription which would make a  arranging second banjo a bit more of a problem but I'm sure I could cobble something together....Steve.
