WOW! Ian (and probably Lynn too), this looks Great! How exciting. It looks like you've doubled the size of the site. It was beginning to look a little crowded, but now it looks spacious and airy!! Great job.

Wow, Ian - the new website is beautifully designed (I particularly like the gramophone DJ!) and easy to navigate around.  Thanks for all your hard work - it's an amazing resource.

Best,

Carrie

Information for site members regarding Microsoft IE8,  Windows XP and the NING Website Upgrade.

Microsoft will be ending support for XP and IE8 at the end of March. After this date they will no longer release security updates for these systems, which means that if any new security flaws are found in Windows or IE8, they will not get fixed. This makes it amazingly dangerous to use IE8 because, at some point, you will be browsing the Web and visit a page which contains malicious code to exploit these security flaws and you will end up with either viruses, malware, or both. We strongly recommend that you use up to date browsers when on the net.

For this reason, we have only actively tested this website with IE9 and above. IE8 should be able to display most of the pages

Working nicely with IE9 here now...thanks to Ian & Co.

I am looking forward to having the DJ running in the background tomorrow whilst I'm at work. Headphones on!

Lots of very cool features now...much easier to root around and find stuff. Well done!

Well...that didn't work out. I got a ping from the IT dept., "no jukeboxes @ work". :-(

I guess I'll just listen to it @ home.

The miserable bunch!  What exactly DO they expect you to do all day at work???

:-(

That hardly seems fair. Unless you're an audiologist...

I work on an Army base...along with about 35-40,000 other people. The IT guys said "jukeboxes use up too much bandwidth".

Pfffffft. :-P

If they had said it was a security issue, OK. Bandwidth? Pleeeaaasssseee. I can have live news broadcast (such as CNN) running all day long, no problem.  I can have live feed from the Weather Channel on all day, no problem. I can check the stock market 70 times a day and surf the web, no problem.

Jukebox? Nope. "If we let everybody play jukeboxes, our computers would slow down and nothing would get done."

Next thing you know, I'll have to sharpen my own pencils. Paugh!
