Along with adding early recordings to our Music Library (and other things too!)

I am currently occupied compiling probably the world's largest collection of early banjo related photographs for display. These have been kindly offered by a member of our site. There are even extremely early "tintype" reproductions to present to you.

This will take a while to put together, but I thought that I might give you a taster of what you can to look forward to.

Here are Clifford Essex & Son.       All we need is the  &Co. Ltd.  ;-)

How about joining the Salvation Army as banjoist?

or maybe you would like to join the Pierrots ?

There are more than a thousand others, including many extremely rare pictures...

BUT more later, when I have had chance to sort edit and compile them.

KEEP WATCHING !!!!!

Looks like Old Joe was not wearing his 'plug' earrings that day...

Marc,

It looks like an old war wound to me!  The bullet missed his shoulder by 6 inches..

..... and hit him right in the ear!!

;-)

I can feel a "photoshopping" coming on !

Nice, Clean photos, Ian. I can't wait for more.
