Miss Dixie (Corn Bread And Sugar Cane)...Fred. W. Hager

This is my 9th Dixie inspired arrangement, it is a compilation of a number of American popular songs but in my opinion, it's one of the best of this genre that I've heard.

Some of the tunes were obviously recognizable but there were a couple of which I wasn't sure so maybe someone could play name that tune. It was recorded in 1907 by the Arthur Prior Band.

I've given it the full banjo treatment including all the usual banjo tricks, the last section is repeated as a bass solo.  This my favourite tune to date and is top of my to play list.

The score and midi are in the library....Steve.

How cool! Man, that has layers on layers. Lots of familiar quotes! I couldn't name half of them.

Hi Marc, I may have gone a bit OTT with the banjofication but I think it hits the mark. To simplify it, you could just play the top note of most of the chords, I've tried it and it still sounds OK. Lets see if anyone else can name the tunes....Steve.
