Here is another superb ragtime piece composed by James Sylvester Scott (February 12, 1885 – August 30, 1938).

This was Scott’s first composition to be published and is probably one of his most famous.

The score, arranged by Steve Harrison, is now available for FREE download in the MUSIC LIBRARY.

Thanks Ian, this is my 13th James Scott arrangement and I've done what I think are the most suitable ones for banjo. The remaining rags may be a bit more problematic but I will have a look at them over time.

Well done, Steve!

Another great Scott tune...and my favorite from his pen. If I get some time this weekend, I'll TAB this one out.

Thanks Marc..the original piano score was in Db and Eb which was near impossible to play on banjo and after much experimenting, Ab and Bb won out. I like playing in Ab, it has a nice comfortable feel to it and fits the fingers well. Dakota rag, which is in Ab/Bbmin is another example...Steve.
