This is the third of my Egyptian themed tunes. This is a very well written tune with plenty of variety and is my favourite of the three. I find the trio particularly pleasing. It's dedicated to Dolly Connolly who was a popular vaudeville star at the beginning of the 20th. century. and PW's wife. They toured together with Percy as her accompanist. Although it's titled as a rag, the only real bit of syncopation appears in the final part. I've rewritten some of the bars in the first part and intro, which on the piano score were the usual bass/chord fills, by repeating the melody of the preceding bars an octave higher. This works much better on the banjo. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.
