This is a gem of a tune and very reminiscent of something that could have been written by Morley or Grimshaw, especially in the opening sections.

There are some interesting and unusual chord changes and the syncopation and timing is challenging in parts. It's well worth a listen, the score and midi are in the library...Steve.

It's an intriguing title for a banjo solo, since the dish "chop suey" is really bit of this and that. Clippings and leftovers thrown together. It's a good model for an interesting banjo piece made of assorted flats, sharps, rests, ties, mordants etc. And some notes too.

Something with a similar title *was* written by Grimshaw.

Hi Jody, thanks for your input, I did learn the Grimshaw tune many years ago but haven't looked at it since, I must resurrect it in view of this arrangement....Steve.
