AT LAST America adopts the C Notation

Some time ago Chris Ware kindly sent me a couple of 1908 Cadenza articles and I thought that I would share one with you... 

Particularly appropriate at the moment as Eric Womersley is busy transposing Weidt's Tutor exercises for beginners' into C Notation and as I have my new banjo made by Alfred Weaver "The Celebrated English Banjo Maker".

Also of note with A. J. Weidt is that he was a early user of wire strings for the regular banjo (hiss).

Yah, "The Captain" knew how to write great music...but he didn't know beans about strings. ;-)
