This is a tune/song that I posted some years back, it makes such a good banjo solo that I thought it needed a reprise with an updated score. The song was featured in G.M.Cohan's musical 'Little Johnny Jones' in 1904 and later in the film 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' in 1942, a biopic of Cohan with James Cagney playing the starring role and for which he received a best actor Oscar. I've included a recording of the song by Cohan. It's one of my favourite arrangements and is worth a listen and play....Steve.
