A glide pinch

Did I invent a technique or is it a known technique? Basically the idea is you strum downward on the string by pinching and letting the first finger glide through three strings and then the thumb and first finger meet to pinch on the fourth string. This can be done in the opposite direction as well with the thumb gliding through three strings and then the finger and the thumb meeting on the first string.
