Kipper the Cat Radio Wireless Programme Banjo Special!

Hi all

Just to give you a heads up I'm doing a banjo special on radio Cambridge 105 tomorrow evening (the 7th October) and it will be available as a podcast afterwards. It's a show for 78's and other legacy technology so I shall be taking a box full of shellac Olly Oakley, Joe Morley and the crew and I might even play a tune myself.

Here's the official write up...

On this weeks Kipper the Cat Wireless Programme Live this Tuesday at 9pm on http://cambridge105.fm/shows/the-kipper-the-cat-show/ Greg, Darren, and Tony Tunes are joined by Banjo enthusiast extraordinary Russ Chandler to have a historical look at the Banjo - playing original 78s and cylinder recordings plus a few live numbers to demonstrate the different styles of Banjo Playing and to talk about some of the great players of the past from Olly Oakley to Earl Scruggs.

This sounds great Russ.

I think that Radio Cambridge will be lost in the smog en route to Blackpool..  could you post a link to the podcast when it is available please?...  or maybe a recording if Cambridge 105 don't object?

I notice that there is a link on their website to "LISTEN NOW" but I will not be at my computer this evening.

I think it went OK. I didn't play very well, and the snap at the end of Rugby Parade was my bridge going down, which has never happened before!

But the records were good. Have a listen and see what you think.
