Surely, it is some kind of insanity. That's the first one I remember seeing like that. I'm re-setting it and I had to get out my yellow marker to highlight the sections in C. Even though I marked it, I've accidently entered several measures in A where they should have been in C.

Yeah, this was Witmark's answer to the problem. Other publishers simply ignored it until 1909.  In the batch I am scanning there are a handful that are double sided, A on one and C on the other (CE did this for a limited number of pieces).  That was a better decision. 

I think Maximum did it too with a few Eno pieces.

Yah, I have a number of the sheets with English/American sheets separate...which makes at least a little sense. With this, I suppose if you read from orchestral scores, you might not get lost or confused. I'd be playing every 5 measures in a different key...
