"The Blonde Beauty", a Weidt Guitar piece arranged for 3 banjos...

I've recently "discovered" A. J. Weidt's guitar pieces via youtube. There are some really nice ones that we don't have for the banjo (at least, I don't know if they were ever published for banjo and I haven't found mention of them them). I found an online source for about 60 pieces. Of course, a good number are banjo regulars (like "Red Rover", etc.).

So, I decided to make a stab at transcribing one for banjo. As this is a guitar solo, not only do the basses get down to E, it is written for 6 strings...which makes it a little on the impossible side for solo banjo. Merely transposing them up a minor 6th (to bring the lowest bass up to C) puts them in multiple flats (Cmaj to Ab maj, for instance) and of course, without the extra basses there's no real way to play multiple voices properly.

No worries, we'll just add a couple of banjos!

Two banjos can cover it, but as I play Cello Banjo, I've added that. It's all about that Bass...

I haven't generated the Tab yet, so here's the dots. This is a lovely waltz. I'll add the full score and mp3 in a following post.
