hi there

Can anyone tell the average classic banjo action on the 12 fret? Also i am wondering how to make my banjo sound more deep and with some more bass?

best regards

Savarez "Instruments Anciens " strings are made of rectified nylon.

I do not like the tension or tone of Savarez carbon strings, and I find that they do not intonate well. Seaguar Premier carbon fishing line is far less expensive and intonates perfectly. It sounds and feels the same as the Savarez carbon, so I don't personally like it, but you should give it a shot if you like the Savarez strings.

Thanks i will try with the fishing line, could be cool if it works

Hi Cohen could you tell me what thigness i have to buy, of the seaguar premier carbon fishing lines?

25lb, 30lb, and 40lb. Make sure you get the Premier line ... the standard Seaguar fluorocarbon does not intonate properly. Also, be careful using these string on antique banjos, especially those with long scale lengths.

Okay thanks is lb the same as millimeter ?

No, that's the test weight of the line. I believe the 25lb is .016", the 30lb is. 018", and the 40lb is .022". The spools are not always labeled with the diameter.

Is the 25 lb for the 1, 2 and 5 strings?

No, the 25lb is for the 1st and 5th strings. The 30lb is for the 2nd string, and the 40lb is for the 3rd. For the 4th you need to buy a silver plated wound string of some sort (either nylon or silk). I recommend .024" for that string.

Okay that makes sense, thanks. I hope i will work for me because its expensive othervise! Thanks again
