I have the La Bella 017 on my banjo now, as of Joels recomendation (017, 019, 021, 024, 017, if I'm not misstaken) and I really like those. Ordered them directly from La Bella. Takes a bit to get used to but man, do they make my banjo sing! (if I manage to get the playing right...) I find they also sound much better when I play old-timie stuff on it. Basically makes the banjo sing in a way that thicker strings don't, I find. Of course, in the end it's a matter of preference. It's a bit harder to get that really "plunky" sound, I find, but that might just be cause of the way I play.
