Hi folks,

I've been enjoying trying to learn some of the music posted here. At the moment, I play on a bluegrass style banjo with fingerpicks, but at some stage I might be interested in trying these tunes on a banjo with nylon strings. Does anyone has any suggestions for a good entry level banjo that would suit this purpose? I don't want to put nylon strings on my current banjo -- this is about getting another affordable banjo that would suit this purpose.

Cheers

Bell

Any decent banjo in good working order will work. This includes open back banjos, resonator banjos, etc. There may have to be some adjustments in set up.  Bridge height, tailpiece type etc.  But it's not like bluegrass where Gibson Mastertone and Stelling and their knockoffs are the only option.

Thanks Jody.

It’s so easy to find reasons to buy another banjo.
